Ryan Hernandez was an All Suffolk County selection in 2004 at Hampton Bays HS. Ryan went on to play college basketball at Western New England University from 2004-2008 where he was a captain and is still number two all time for three pointers made in a single season as well as three pointers made in a career while shooting 41%. After college, Ryan was a JV head coach at Hampton Bays HS for five years before shifting his focus to player development where he has worked with players from the youth level to the NBA, including former league MVP James Harden. Most recently, Ryan took over the Westhampton Beach Boys’ Varsity program and received League IV Coach of the Year honors as he helped lead the Hurricanes to a 16-5 record. Ryan also has 18 years of teaching experience in the classroom.
